Biography

Elizabeth (Beth) Brannan, MD, graduated from the Brown Triple Board Residency Program (pediatrics, general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry) in 2015 and now works as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in the Pediatric Anxiety Research Clinic at Bradley Hospital. Dr. Brannan is also an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (Clinician Educator) at Brown. She served as the Associate Training Director for the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and Triple Board Residency programs from 2020-2023, the co-director of the first-year medical student Brain & Behavior course for 6 years, and the facilitator of the longitudinal third-year medical student Integration Seminar for 8 years. She is currently co-facilitating the Professional Identity Formation pilot curriculum for the AMS PC-PM program. Since 2021 she has been a member of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior’s Anti-Racism Steering Committee and co-chairs the Subcommittee on Educational Programming. She co-develops and teaches anti-racism and cultural responsiveness curricula for child psychiatry and pediatric trainees and faculty. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her daughter, being outdoors, and leaning into the fundamental both/and moments of life.
